Meet Our Panelists

Sally Boulter is the Senior Director of Engagement and Client Experience at ImpactAssets where she leads organizational strategy to engage and empower clients towards maximum impact. Sally also works directly with clients to activate their philanthropy through grants and impact investments. Prior to joining ImpactAssets, Sally was responsible for individual constituent relationship building and capital raising at the Wilson Center, Calvert Foundation, and the Bonner Group. Sally also served as the Development Director for the Child Guidance Center of Southern Connecticut, the YWCA of Greenwich and The Discovery Museum in Bridgeport, CT. She has a BA from Hamilton College and lives in Baltimore.  

Tory Dietel Hopps is a social, environmental, gender and financial activist. In 2007, she joined her father, Bill, and sister Betsy in creating Dietel Pickering & Partners, a shared family philanthropic office working with individuals and multigenerational family philanthropies. Tory is the Managing Partner at the firm. Since 2007, the firm has advised more than 32 clients and over $400M in grantmaking. In 2008, Tory began to move her own inherited wealth in alignment with her values. She has been actively engaged in the impact investing space and enjoys sharing her personal story in hope of inspiring others. She currently serves on the board of Health Care Without Harm and is on faculty for the Girl Child Long Walk Fellowship program. She is a Fellow of the Just Economy Institute and an Alum of Rockwood Leadership Institute’s Art of Philanthropic Leaders Program. Tory is a graduate of the Emma Willard School and the University of Vermont. She’s the mother of two grown children, a grandmother and lives with her husband in Maine.  

Martha Trombley Oakes is the Director of Philanthropy at the Vermont Community Foundation. She has more than 20 years of experience in philanthropy, specializing in building deep, trusted relationships with high-net-worth individuals, families, and organizations. Passionate about connecting people with purposeful giving opportunities, Martha focuses on strengthening the philanthropic landscape through personalized advising and relationship-driven strategies. As the founding President and CEO of the National Life Group Charitable Foundation, she established a robust grantmaking program by engaging nonprofits and communities to better understand and address critical needs.
