Eric Becker
Partner and Portfolio Manager
Eric manages client portfolios and oversees the firm’s investment and portfolio management discipline. Eric has been engaged in social and environmental investing since 1993. He joined Clean Yield in 2009 after 16 years as an equity analyst and portfolio manager for Trillium Asset Management in Boston. Eric was a founding member of the Slow Money movement, which seeks to connect investors and entrepreneurs in the service of building a regenerative food system and healthy communities.
Eric served as a trustee of Sterling College in Craftsbury Common, Vermont for over a decade. Previously, he was a board member of The Carrot Project and a senior fellow of the Environmental Leadership Program.
Eric holds a B.A. in comparative religion from Haverford College and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute. Eric lives in St. George, Vermont with his wife Sarah, stepchild Jay, and two rescue dogs. His two grown children, Isabelle and Cedric, have fledged the nest. In addition to his lifelong devotion to Boston’s major sports teams, he is an avid supporter of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club in the English Premier League and Vermont Green Football Club in USL League Two.
