Aw, shucks. Clean Yield has made B Corp’s Best for the World 2021 list!

Clean Yield has been a certified B Corp since 2011, and we take our certification seriously. Each year, we evaluate how we can keep raising the bar and better serve our clients, our employees, our community, and the environment. We do this because it is central to our belief that capital can and should be a force for good – and because it is part of our DNA. And of course, we appreciate being recognized for trying to do the right thing! Clean Yield is honored to have been named to the B Corp Best for the World 2021 list. This recognition is awarded to B Corps who score in the top 5% of similarly sized companies as determined through the B Impact Assessment. This year, we are being recognized in the areas of Customers, Governance, and Employees.
While this isn’t our first Best for the World recognition (Clean Yield has been honored as one of B Corp’s “Best for the World” every year since 2014), the challenges of the last year – a race reckoning, a global pandemic, political violence and polarization – have underscored the important role B Corps can play in driving inclusion, protecting workers, and upholding the tenets of our democracy. These challenges also highlight how much more work there is to be done and that we must keep holding ourselves to a higher standard. We look forward to continuing to improve our own practices and engaging with the growing B Corp community.
